You are from Earth. Not the one Grand Cross orbits though—you're from an alternate Earth in another dimension. Where you're from, Hard Wired Island was a game—or maybe an anime, comic, or book series. After an unfortunate accident, you've somehow been reborn on Grand Cross. You're just a common Crosser, but one with knowledge of the setting and a unique power...
The Reborn is a small expansion for HARD WIRED ISLAND, the retrofuture cyberpunk RPG. It contains rules and advice for playing an isekai anime protagonist who has been transported from the "real world" into Grand Cross, including a full Occupation, a list of unique isekai-protagonist-style Cheat powers, and some character ideas.
This is a joke expansion released on April Fool's Day 2023. It is absolutely not canon. Use at your own risk.
This expansion also contains a sneak preview of The Crosser, a new Occupation planned for release in a future HARD WIRED ISLAND book.
