Hey there! It's time for another update. We did some fairly big rules changes, so those of you who are currently playing Hard Wired Island games might want to check in case anything affects their character. (The Player Reference document will be updated shortly.)

As usual, all of these patch notes are 100% real.

• Personal Prep now also awards 1 Prep on a success. This is in addition to the Prep you always get if it's your first personal Prep roll
• Celebrity Origin changed to be more in line with the others, so apologies to everyone whose character was an unboxing influencer
• A bunch of Traits, Assets, and Augments that granted Defense bonuses now grant Defense Specialty bonuses, which should make it harder to stack Tough Defense to ridiculous levels
• The It's Complicated Origin has been tweaked to make it clearer that you get a Specialty in an Action of your choice in addition to the regular Specialties
• By request, made it clearer that Group Prep is a resource shared by the whole group
• Influencer First Occupation Box no longer references a Drone tag that was removed during development
  
• Gave Sticky Shocker the Ammo tag
• The fillable version of the Simple character sheet no longer has that weird thing with the abilites
• Fixed some page references that were off (usually by only 1-2 pages, but still)
• Made a few minor formatting changes only I care about
• I scanned the First Edition Hard Wired Island character sheet from the 90s. You are welcome.
  
• Removed the "Exsurgent Virus" Origin for further playtesting
• Going to the Zero Questions department store and asking questions no longer causes a system crash
• Opened an arterial road between the Tackleford and Wendlefield districts
• I accidentally swapped one of the character sheets with a letter that suggests I have stolen the Arc de Triomphe with a "shrink ray" and am holding it in my "island lair" unless the French government gives me 50 billion dollars. It has been fixed. Please ignore that
